On Thursday, whilst on the way to dinner we popped into The Brompton Design District open evening and were more than impressed. The area around Brompton Road is a leading destination during the London Design Festival (which took place between the 17th and 25th September), with the VA and the RCA close by, Brompton is home to several global design brands and hosts one of London’s most talked about design programmes.
The design shops and studios of Brompton celebrated some of their newest talents, as well as already established artists on Thursday night with Pop Up shops and parties. A full list of the venues which took part can be seen below:
We visited Few and Far (on the corner of Brompton Road and North Terrace) which featured a special collection of wooden furniture by Russell Pinch and his wife Oona Bannon amongst other collections of pottery by Billy Lloyd and tweed clothes by Eloise Grey.
Full details can be found on the London Design Festival’s website, with some exhibitions continuing after the festival has finished, it’s worth having a look.
