I am excited to announce that this week we started working with one of the world’s most creative culinary forces – MASSIMO BOTTURA – and his Modena based restaurant – OSTERIA FRANCESCANA – ranked 4th on the S.Pellegrino World’s 50 Best Restaurants listing and voted the best restaurant in Italy for the past 3 years.
The restaurant is also the current holder of the S. Pellegrino World’s 50 Best Restaurants “Chef’s Choice” award, voted for by the rarefied group of chefs from the top 50 establishments.
Massimo Bottura is a key figure amongst a new generation of chefs. His avant garde approach has garnered him many awards since 1995 when he opened Osteria Francescana. Just this year, and in addition to the S.Pellegrino World’s 50 Best Restaurants awards, Massimo Bottura received the “Grand Prix de l’Art” (Chef of the Year) from the International Culinary Academy in Paris. A few months later he was decorated with a medal of honour for his contribution to Culture and the Arts by the town of Modena and achieved near perfection with the highest score ever recorded – 19.75 out of 20 – in the L’Espresso dining guide.
“Tradition seen from ten miles away” is how Massimo Bottura describes his work which is doused with irreverence, inspired by art and integrated into a world of pop culture, literature and music. It is tradition in evolution.
