Scott Heimendinger, aka Seattle Food Geek will join the Modernist Cuisine team in January as business development manager and Modernist Cuisine Evangelist.

A huge Modernist Cuisine fan, Scott has interviewed Nathan several times. He also interned with the team at the Cooking Lab and impressed them so that he was  subsequently offered his “dream job”.

Scott will be helping Modernist Cuisine grow in new and exciting ways, introducing the book and spreading its message to a broader audience in all corners of the world. He has wasted no time in getting started in his new position, posting on his blog last night he said,

We’ll be exploring ways for The Cooking Lab to contribute to the Modernist revolution, not only through our books but also through new services and products that we hope to develop ourselves and in collaboration with a wide range of other companies, from food and equipment manufacturers to chefs and restaurant owners, to publishers and producers. We’ve got a list of great ideas to turn into realities, but we also want to know what’s you’d like to see from us. If you have an idea, a request, or a partnership opportunity, we’d love to hear your thoughts. Contact us online or email scott@modernistcuisine.com.

You can keep up to date with the team at The Cooking Lab and Scott’s new projects via their blog. If you have any of your own ideas, contact Scott and the team on the addresses above.

Good luck Scott! We look forward to meeting you next year.
