The Hardwick is the Best Restaurant in Wales

Monday night saw the fifth National Restaurants Awards taking place at The Brewery in London.

The awards are designed to highlight the best restaurants in the UK and are voted by 150 gastronomic experts, chefs, food writers and critics from all regions across the country.

Stephen Terry’s  highly acclaimed The Hardwick in Abergavenny was awarded the special title of Welsh Restaurant of the Year as well as being rated the17th best eaterie in the UK.

Other achievers include The Ledbury, voted as the UK’s best restaurant with second and third places going to Pollen Street Social and The Hand & Flowers. Other Welsh restaurants that made it into Britain’s “top 100” are the Walnut Tree at number19 and the Tyddyn Llan at number 60.
