New Year’s Day Menu at Petersham Nurseries Cafe

This New Year’s Day Petersham Nurseries Cafe’s Head Chef Cat Ashton has put together a sumptuous lunch menu for those looking for exceptional food and a place of calm to start their year.

Wednesday 1st January


Hand dived scallops with Jerusalem artichokes, pea shoots and candied pancetta

Fennel, puntarelle and coppa di Parma with blood oranges and mustard dressing

Baked buffalo ricotta with spinach, parmesan and herbs from the garden


Wild sea bass with lentils, rapini, salmoriglio, creme fraiche & chilli oil

Honey and cumin braised lamb shank with freekeh, tahini yoghurt, pine nuts and turnips

Cauliflower and chickpea curry with flat bread, coriander and lemon


Baked chocolate tart with malt ice cream and salted caramel

Marsala poached pears with honeyed oats and vanilla mascarpone

Cassata semifreddo with pistachio and liquorice

Selection of 3 cheeses served with carta di musica and quince paste

Reservations from 12.00pm – 3.00pm
Nursery closes at 5.00pm
