Here at Spoon PR we were excited to catch wind of Get Lifted TV’s new series ‘Bites’, which brings together top artists and YouTubers in some of London’s most exciting undiscovered cafés and eateries.
The idea behind the series is to creatively bring together two of life’s most enjoyable elements – music and food – in an effort to highlight some of London’s smaller, independent food spots which may be lesser known among local crowds, but are notably unique, interesting, and needless to say, worth a visit.
The first episode, which aired last Sunday, features YouTube a capella sensation Sam Robson and Phil Simmonds from The Bassment Project. They join the show’s regular presenters Ben Cox and Emily Dankworth at South African restaurant Bunny Chow in Shoreditch, which, much to our delight, just happens to have a pop-up truck that pulled up outside the Spoon PR offices yesterday. We all opted for the “Monkey Gland Bunny” (meatballs smothered in South African monkey gland sauce), which packed a spicy, crunchy punch, and enjoyed the novelty of eating our lunch out of a freshly baked mini loaf.
